Highlights

Balayage and babylights that look sun-kissed

Light in your hair at the intensity you want, with no harsh root line and regrowth that grows out softly. From €30.

What it is

What balayage is and why people love it

Balayage is a freehand highlighting technique, with no cap or foils, that lightens the mid-lengths and ends in a gradient. The word comes from the French balayer, "to sweep", after the brush stroke used to apply the lightener. The result mimics the way the sun lightens hair: slightly darker roots, lighter ends and no regrowth line.

That's why it's the favourite option for anyone who wants light without touching up the roots every month. Well-done balayage can last 3 to 6 months between salon visits, just refreshing the toner from time to time.

Balayage or babylights: which one suits you

  • Balayage (€70): light concentrated on the mid-lengths and ends, with more contrast and a "back from the beach" effect. Ideal if you want a visible but natural change.
  • Babylights (€60): very fine highlights in large numbers, all over the head from the roots. They lift the colour softly and evenly, like children's hair in summer. Perfect for a luminous blonde or to blend the first grey hairs without dye.
  • Contouring (€30): very fine highlights only in specific areas (around the face, the parting, the nape) to brighten your features or cover localised grey.

Not sure? Bring a photo of what you like. In the chair we look at your base colour, your hair type and what it can take, and decide together.

Prices

These are the same prices you'll see on Booksy, always without toner. Toner is the colour gloss applied after lightening to adjust the shade (it removes yellow or orange tones and gives the beige, ash, golden or caramel reflection you want). It's €20 extra if you want it.

  • Balayage: €70 (about 2 h 15 min)
  • Babylights: €60 (about 1 h 10 min)
  • Full-head root highlights: €50
  • Highlights for short hair: €40
  • Contouring: €30
  • Toner: €20

Washing and professional blow-drying are booked separately, so you only pay for what you use.

Balayage on dark, brown or blonde hair

On dark or brown hair, balayage is done in caramel, honey, hazelnut or light chocolate shades so the lift looks believable rather than orange. On blonde bases we look for beige, sand or ash reflections. Very dark hair that wants to go light blonde may need more than one session: you'll be told before we start, never after.

Frequently asked questions

How long does balayage take?

About 2 h 15 min. Babylights take around 1 h 10 min. Adding toner or a treatment takes a little longer: Booksy shows the duration of each service when you book.

Can I have balayage on short hair?

Yes. For short hair or bobs we use the short-hair highlights technique (€40): very fine babylights that add light and blend grey.

Does it damage the hair?

Any lightening opens the cuticle, but balayage is one of the gentlest techniques because it doesn't touch the roots. We use professional products and, if your hair needs it, strengthen it with a treatment.

Should I come with clean hair?

Better not washed that day: natural oils protect the scalp. No styling products, if possible.
